In February you can enjoy parades of Moors and Christians in Bocairente from 1stth to 5th and in Sax 1st to the 5th for the exact day of the parades, please contact Tourist Info offices.
Another activity in February are Carnivals! All Towns along the Costa Blanca celebrate Carnivals! One of the best in the area is the one held in Torrevieja. There are two main carnival parades: first one on Saturday 16th at 5:30p.m. and the second one on Saturday the 22nd March at 7:00p.m.
About sports, if you have any friend or family that would like to join The Tabarca-Santa Pola Open Waters Swim you have to warn them that pre-registration process will be from 7th to 18th of February.
Like every February do not miss the almond blossom in Jalon or Guadalest valleys. But if you want to see something special go to see “El valle de la Seta” and enjoy the little villages of Famorca and Facheca. It could be beginning, middle or end of the month, but it lasts about ten days if there isn’t bad weather. Talking about blossom, I would like to recommend to be ready at the end of March, for the peach tree blossom in Cieza (Murcia). It would be a nice day out to visit “Santuario de la Fuensanta” in Calasparra and enjoy the beautiful scenery that nature offer us, take the country road RM-B19, to Cieza in the middle of the country side to see the best.
