SUPER SEVEN COMPETITION
Seven teams of pairs took part in the Super Seven Competition, everyone who took part thoroughly enjoyed the different format. The winners were Colin Bedford, Cindy Bedford, Keith Young, runners up Des Freeman, Paul Dodd, Barry Watson. After the presentation we enjoyed lunch at Skippers. Thank you Diane Horsington and John Hunt for organising a very enjoyable competition.
RACE AFTERNOON
On Thursday twenty second of February we held a race afternoon at the Alonai restaurant on the Santara Resort. After enjoying lovely tapas the fun began!!!! Thank you Kevin and Anthony for a great afternoon and for your kind donation to the club.
CHICKEN RUN
Sunday 25th February – Another successful chicken run which as usual was well supported. The chickens were won by Gina Hindle with twenty one shots and Chris Harding with thirty shots. Des Freeman and Steve Freeman won the eggs. Thank you Lesley and Graham Smythe who donated the chickens and Julia and Ian Hamilton and of course the hens for donating the eggs. Thanks as always to Joan, Sue and Howie whoorganised the chicken run. The football card was won by Steve Freeman with Arsnel.
FUN DAY
Saturday 9th March – Although the weather wasn’t good the fun day was well supported. There were six different challenges in each round which everyone enjoyed. The winner with eleven points was Chris Merry. Thank you to all who attended we raised 110 euros for the club.
MOTHERS DAY
For Mothering Sunday the social committee organised a trip to La Cova restaurant.
MATADORS
The Friday and Monday leagues are now finished we did well in both leagues. Monday SA Discovery League we finished fourth, Friday SL Division we finished top. Well done everyone!
CLUB COMPETITIONS FINALS DAY
Saturday 2nd March – The ladies’ and men’s singles finals were well supported, Joan Harding v Lynne Armitage and Graham Smythe v Phil Goble. After two excellent games Joan won the ladies and Graham won the mens, well done to both winners. After the matches the presentation was held in the Belfry followed by a very enjoyable buffet.
