CHICKEN RUN

Sunday 31^st July

On a very hot Sunday morning we had a very enjoyable competition, it was good to see some of our new members enjoying the morning. Thanks to Neil and Debbie Crawford who sponsored the chickens and as usual Julia and Ian Hamilton for the eggs and of course thanks to the chickens. The eggs were won by Julia Hamilton and Bill Winterburn, Julia auctioned her eggs as she didn’t want to take them home again. The winner of the chicken for the ladies with twenty eight shots was Linda Davies and for the men David Eades also with twenty eight shots. The football card was won by Joan Harding with Newcastle. A big thank you as always to our three organisers Sue Bounds, Joan Harding and Howie Williams.

SOUTH ALICANTE LEAGUE

Monte Mar Toros

The first league competition played by the club since before Covid forced the shutdown of all bowling leagues ended with the Toros winning the Summer LLB league they entered. They only lost one match all season, so well done to all the squad. A big thank you to team Captain Sheila Roberts and Vice Captain Ian Hamilton. It was it was good to be back with competitive bowling once again, we can now look forward to the winter leagues.

FRIDAY SUNSET LEAGUE

Another successful competition organised by Diane Horsington and John Hunt, everyone’s shots were carried forward and added together after the last game. The winner was Ian Hamilton and the runner up Lynne Armitage, well done to both. Thank you to Diane and John for organising another successful and enjoyable competition.
