The group was originally 4 friends – members of a Spanish Facebook group who discovered they all lived/stayed in Gran Alacant. The 4 met for coffee and GALs was born!!
Almost 2 years later the group now has 171 members – ladies who all have a connection to Gran Alacant and are looking for friendship, support, information, a few laughs and the occasional shoulder to cry on.
Julie Lewis says “as a female new to Gran Alacant, I was keen to meet up with others who have similar interests and experience and knowledge of the area – the group has snowballed from there. I have had great feedback from people who have met new friends through our monthly socials or simply had a question answered on the page. We meet at different venues around Gran Alacant for our monthly get togethers to try and support businesses locally.
