Gran Alacant Carnival

Hi my name is Star and I have been lucky enough to call Gran Alacant my home for over 8 years now. My 7 year old daughter Ashlee and I are often “Out & About” enjoying the local attractions and culture in this part of Spain. Over the next few months I will be sharing some of our experiences with you to encourage you to go “Out & About” yourselves and maybe learn a little bit about this beautiful place we call home.

This month we wanted to share our pictures of the kids from Vincenta Ruso (our school in Gran Alacant) who held their annual carnival celebrations and parade around Novamar on 23rd February. The theme was movies and all the kids looked great!!!!

There were adorable little Dumbos, Chimney Sweeps from Mary Poppins and Movie Reels by the kids of Infantil (3-5 year olds). The Primeria kids (6-11 year olds) were Packets of Popcorn, Characters from Flintstones, Wizards of Oz, Grease, Pirates of the Carribean and Alice in Wonderland.

Other teachers and comedor (lunch) monitors were dressed as Ghostbusters and Trolls. The parade was really good fun and there was lots of singing and dancing from the kids.

The hard work put in by the teachers and parents, ensured that the day was a great success and everyone had a fantastic time. Well done!!!!

Join us next month for some more fun “Out and About”. Star&Ashlee xxx
