At 16:30 on Sunday the 5th of January 2020, the crowds gathered along the top part of Avendia Escandinavia for the first ever 3 Kings Parade in Gran Alacant. It was great to see such a large number of people and the atmosphere was lively and energetic.

At 17:00 the parade started at the Sports Centre with a group of dancers who performed a lively routine to the Festive tunes that were coming out of the speakers, as they made their way to the Doctors Surgery. The 3 Kings followed behind them eagerly throwing confetti and sweets to the delighted crowds.

Once they pulled into the car park, the 3 Kings sat on their thrones so that the children could line up and have their pictures taken with them. The children also enjoyed taking turns on the bucking bull and bouncy castle that were there for free.

During December the children in the local Nurseries and those in the Infant classes at the school were given a voucher which they could exchange for a gift from the Kings after the parade. The kids from the Primary classes were given tickets for a draw and the winners were able to collect their gifts after the parade as well.

It was really amazing to feel the sense of community among the masses of people who turned out for this parade and everybody hopes that more of these types of events will happen in Gran Alacant in the future.
