We arrived in Santa Pola for the first time in 1993. We had a young family. Hardly a house was built on the hill that is now called Gran Alacant. No Spanish to be seen. Just a little local paragliding school was ‘active’, but we hardly saw them. We came here with French and Belgian friends, exploring the hills inland, to see where we could spread our wings and fly. For our sport we needed a good climate, small hills, cliffs and big mountains. Everything was here but not yet explored. So we worked hard to get our business started, every other month we would came down from Belgium, with friends other paraglide pilots to explore, and to get to know the region better. Until in 1998 we arrived to stay. Since 1998 we have guided foreign pilots to fly in our region, to fly on the big hills inland. And on the most famous site near the Mediterranean Sea, Cabo de Santa Pola. We offer tandem flights for all who want them from young to old. As the longest established paragliding business in the Alicante region, we are still going and are not planning to leave this precious region for paragliding.
