I was born in Birmingham and lived in Tamworth Staffordshire for many years. My interest in gardening started when I was very young. My grandfather first gave me a packet of seeds and a bit of ground and got me interested in growing things. When I gave up playing football I needed a new hobby so I got hold of two allotments, I grew most vegetables supplying to local church when I had a glut of things.
My interest in growing giant vegetables did not start till I arrived in Spain in 2005 joining a website called Giant Veg.com which is where I get special seeds and fertilizers. The website is full of tips and information I need from professionals. It’s very scientific analysing soil for whatever vegetable I want to grow. You also need a lot of patience!
