Over the last 2 months our world has literally stood still … we have witnessed and experienced great losses, some more personal than others and for those of you struggling with grief on top of the pandemic I would like you to know I am sending so much love and sincere reiki healing your way, your grief is a journey and process with all the different emotions rolled into the situation … but keep in your thoughts, that there is light at the end of your tunnel.

For those of you feeling frustrated at the pandemic situation, maybe it is the media annoying you, the difference in opinions on social network sites, we are all entitled to our opinions, but stay aware on your delivery of it to avoid social conflit or maybe you are just living alone 24-7 and feeling it or with your partner and kids and having never been used to this much together time before now and don´t know how to deal with this daily. We are all experiencing different waves in the emotional tide right now.

But what positive impact have you learned on your relationships during the difficult time?

Your relationship always starts with you!

Some days are a struggle if you feel lonely, or some are very hard when you have a house full and they are all vibing on different frequencies that day but the relationship with self is an important journey through this, and what positive impact are you carrying on in the future when this is all over? Think of the positive change you can bring to the table.

During this time we have come to learn and adapt to new ways of communication, we have realised we don’t actually need that much to find inner happiness. In our house we have had more time to talk with the friends who are normally as busy as us to catch up with, we have realised that dancing in the kitchen or doing online exercise classes can actually be quite fun when we have no other options and having little family or friend quiz nights from wherever our families are in the world is also a sign of community and togetherness. Something I would like to continue with long after the pandemic is over is these little things that really are the big things, when people make the time for each other. There have been many offering online group meditation sessions also which has definitely helped me personally find my inner calm and very important “alone” time in what is some days the mad house and I am truly grateful for such a wonderful network of connections across the globe. All the “new” social network friends who have connected with me during this has also shown that humanity still exists in the bucket loads and people are beautiful in all their own unique and special ways and we should appreciate this.

We have experienced lots of kindness sent our way, our lovely neighbour taking the time to make washable masks for many in the community, our other neighbours baking and sharing food and it has shown us that the world in all its uncertain times is still a very beautiful place.

It is always important to be grateful of the little things, even the disagreements we may have some days with our partners and kids, we are grateful we still have each other to have this with.

I can only hope anyone out there with grudges to others can now settle their differences and come to the reality we are all equals, no one is greater or lesser and we all have a right to be here, be heard, and to strive towards being kind as this is our true natural state of being.

So the lesson that may be learned this month is that even when the days seem very dark and the road ahead makes you feel unsettled at the thought, there is always something to be grateful for. And if you have no one reaching out at you, reach out at them … take the time to make the positive impact, there is always someone to reach out to … and I am here with online sessions for the mind clinic to all who feel lost in their path.

I will leave this month with my favourite poem of all times the “Desiderata” by Max Ehrmann … a beautiful gift of words to share with the world.

Desiderata

GO PLACIDLY amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

And hope to see you all on the outside world soon.
Much Love
