MOTHERS DAY
Sunday 15th March
We had a lovley afternoon at the Kesari Indian Restaurant for Mothering Sunday. Good food, Good Company, what more could we want? Thank you to Joan and Sue for organising a very enjoyable afternoon.
VISITING TEAM
Monday 23rd March
Our first visiting team of the year was a large one, forty two members from Monifieth. As there was some many players we played two lots of ten ends so everyone could have a game. After the game we enjoyed lunch and drinks at the Belfry. Thanks to Cindy for organising the competition.
CHICKEN RUN
Sunday 29th March
The monthly chicken run was well attended so all the rinks were used. The chickens were won by Charlotte with thirty two shots and Steve Hindle with twenty nine shots. Margaret O’Doyle and Ian Crawford won the eggs. Thank you to Phil and Janet Goble who donated the chickens As usual Ian and Julia Hamilton donated the the eggs with the help of the chickens of coarse. Gina Hindle won the football card with Burnley. Thank you to Howie, Sue and Joan for organising another sucsessful competition.
EASTER COMPETITION
Sunday 5th April
Twenty four members took part in the competition, as requested by Cindy everyone wore bright colours for spring. We played eighteen ends consisting of playing different teams on different rinks.
After the competition we enjoyed a buffet and drinks at the club. The winners were Sheila Roberts, David March, Phil Goble runners up Colin Bedford, Charlotte Tranberg, Joan Harding. After the presentation the raffle was drawn, there were numerous prizes.
Janet Leonard and Joan Harding won the main prize Hampers. Thank you to Cindy for organising the competition, Viv, Janet and Debbie for doing the buffet and Heidi for making the two lovely hampers.
