LADIES AFTERNOON TEA
Thursday 27th May
Eighteen bowlers and social members attended the afternoon tea at the Belfry. What a lovely afternoon we all had. The food was delicious the company great and the drinks flowed. Thank you to all the staff at the Belfry and the ladies of the social committee for another enjoyable get together.
CHICKEN RUN
Sunday 30th May
Twenty four bowlers took part in the monthly chicken run so we were able to have four rinks of trips. As usual we had a refreshment break after nine end then had a redraw. The lady winner of the chicken was Lynda Saunders, Mick Soars was the winner of the mens. Lynne Armitage and Ted Hyman won the eggs. Thank you to Val and Ted Hyman for donating the chickens and Julia and Ian for donating the eggs. The table top sale did well, we will be holding a table top again next chicken run the last Sunday in July. Graham Smythe won the football card with Hearts.
IN HOUSE COMPETITIONS
The Monday and Friday leagues are now complete. The winners of the Monday League were Sheila Roberts, Jack Burrell and Ian Hamilton, the Friday League was won by Lynne Armitage, Gina Hindle and Les Bounds. Well done everyone and thank you to Cindy for organising the Monday League, Lynne and Howie for organising the Friday league.
As the Monday and Friday Leagues have been so successful, we are starting another seven-week competition. The first Monday will commence June 21st 10:00 for 10:30 and the Friday League will be June 25th in the evening 16:30 for 17:00. There will be a meal organised.
SOCIAL EVENTS
The next social event is a barbecue to be held at Santara Life Resort Saturday 24th July at 15:00. The details are on the notice board at the Bowls Club. Please check for all social events on Friends of Monte Mar or on the notice board at the Bowls Club.
