CHICKEN RUN
Sunday October 28th
Played on a lovely October morning, as usual the chicken run was enjoyed by everyone who took part. Sheila Roberts won for the ladies and Len Counsell for the men. The eggs were won by Pam Sherwood and Peter Wallis-Bellman. Thank you to Howie who donated the chicken and Ian and Julia who donated the eggs.
AUSSIE PAIRS
November 3/4th
Over the weekend the Monte Mar Club staged the annual Aussie Pairs competition. Twelve teams took part and after two days bowling five of them were equal having scored five points. The tournament was decided on shot difference and the eventual winners were Jan Gatward and Graham Smyth. The winning team was presented with their prizes by the Club Chairman, Chris Harding. After the competition on the Saturday the bowlers enjoyed a lovely buffet at LoungeD. A big thank you to Lou and Ged.
AUSSIE PAIRS AT BONALBA BOWLS CLUB
Saturday November 10th
Thirty two teams took part in the Aussie pairs at Bonalba, six of the teams were from Monte Mar Bowls Club. Once again it was a good day for Monte Mar, Diane Horsington and John Hunt were runners up by only one shot. Diane and John were very delighted, well done to you both.
TRIP TO LA ZENIA
Once again the shopping trip to La Zenia, organized by the ladies of the social committee was a great success. After all the shopping and a few pre lunch drinks it was off to La Cosecha restaurant in Beniofar, where everyone had a very enjoyable lunch. Thank you to the ladies of the social committee.

Away to the Albatrosses the Matadors only managed to win on one rink. Well done too the winning rink of Paula Cleeter, Weny Oxley skip Don Cleeter.

Monte Mar v Greenlands
We were away to Greenlands this week and had a very tough game. Only winning on one rink and narrowly losing by two shots on another. Winning rink Gina Hindle, Pauline Woodfine, Danny King skip Barrie Woodfine.
