CHICKEN RUN
Sunday 22nd October
Twenty four members took part in the monthly chicken run the weather was slightly cooler so we played eighteen ends. The ladies chicken was won by Sheila Roberts with twenty three shots. Paul, Howie and John had the same amount of shots so they auctioned the chicken; thank you to the highest bidder Julia Hamilton. The eggs were won by Julia and Mick. Thank you to Des and John who donated the chickens, the eggs with the help of the chickens were donated by Julia and Ian. Julia Hamilton won the football card with Wolves
COLINS BIRTHDAY BASH
Sunday 29th October
What a great three days we had in Benidorm celebrating Colin’s 70th birthday, delicious meals and great company.
LA PIEDRA COMPETITION
Sunday 5th November
Thirty bowlers took part in the La Piedra Competition. We played a new format called Super Seven (trips) the first seven ends: three woods, next seven ends: two woods last seven ends: one wood. The competition winners were, Jean Chamberlain, Marilyn March skip Keith Young. After the competition Cindy presented the winners with vouchers for a meal at La Piedra. We then went to La Piedra where we all enjoyed an excellent lunch. The football card was won by John Freeman with Preston. It was a very successful day enjoyed by all who took part, a big thank you Cindy.
SHOPPING TRIP
Tuesday 7th November
The annual shopping trip to La Zenia was enjoyed by all who attended. After shopping we all met up for pre-lunch drinks while waiting for the coach to go to La Cosecha restaurant. The lunch and service at La Cosecha was excellent. Thanks to Julia for organising another successful club outing.
MONTE MAR MATADORS
The Matadors had two excellent results in November. The first against Vistabella Drivers shots 119 points 12. The second Vistabella Conquistadors shots 115 points 11. We are now top of the Southern League Division C, well done everyone.
CLEANING
The chairman Chris Harding would like to thank all members who helped with the cleaning and painting at the bowls club.
