Gran Alacant Stars played to the full house every night at THE AMERICAN ROCK BAR in GA Centre, and could have done more nights with the waiting list wanting cancellations. The crowd laughed and cried as the fun loving M.A.B.S. lads as they displayed their antics with me not knowing what to expect next. Our artists sang their hearts out and many arriving from the UK just to appear in the show. Thanks to our two sponsors the costumes shone like stars who were wearing them. This made the show extra spectacular. Our thanks also go out to the bars who donated many raffle prizes – Oduills, Phoenix, BAR 1, and Mary and Peter and the bingo goers at Oceans Bar, Aquarius who provided their restaurant for rehearsals every morning and late evenings as well as supplying refreshments throughout. Hairdressing vouchers from Valeen across from the Carabassi Strip. Thank you Susan Roberts, our new found dressmaker who saved the day by altering the costumes to make them a good fit. The lovely Margaret who twisted all your arms to buy raffle tickets. If I missed anyone out it’s because I am already planning next years show as my demons and divas are in place. All the people who supported M.A.B.S. over the ten years I thank you all so very much. Although M.AB.S. is a legally registered charity it does not receive any local or central government funding at all. All services provided are paid from fundraising and donations. Jaquie Phillips now boasts three hospices, one of which has just been opened in Murcia Mar Menor Area. Lets raise more money and get one opened in Gran Alacant.
