Library in Gran Alacant
The library is located in the same building as the Medical Centre. There are two footpaths that run along each side of the Medical Centre and lead you around the back and to the entrance of the Library.
- Morning opening hours are:
- Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 930am – 130pm.
- Wednesday and Saturday 930am – 1pm
- And in the afternoons:
- Monday – Friday 430pm – 730pm
You can borrow from a large selection of books, cds and dvds all of which are available in multiple languages. If you want a quiet place to use the internet you can use the free wifi or alternatively just browse through their large selection of global magazines and newspapers.
They also offer various courses including Spanish lessons for foreigners and English and Mandarin lessons for Children and Adults. You can also take part in any of the several workshops they organise for kids and adults. These range from cooking to crafts and making clothes. Want to learn how to make paella or watch the fishing boats in Santa Pola come in with their haul, or perhaps a trip to see the beautiful orange blossoms, then ask here about the many excursions they organise. Available throughout the year and for a small price, these excursions offer a great opportunity to get to know the area and its customs better.
