Not a great deal to report this month. The Course continues to be in good condition and is a pleasure to play.

One question we are frequently asked is “how much does it cost to play golf with the Society?” Well,it varies across the seasons. Presently the cost payable directly to the Course for someone walking is 40 euros; whilst the price to hire a buggy for those who do not wish to walk is 20 euros ( or 10 each if 2 share). On top of that the Course will charge 1.50 euros for insurance. The Society asks each player on the day for 5 euros to go into the kitty which is all paid out in prize money, at the end of the round.

Currently this represents a saving of 5 euros on the current green fee and 10 euros on buggy hire compared to someone who arranges their own golf directly with the Course.

Whilst high season is approaching for holidays it is, paradoxically, coming into the low season for golf and deals can be done. For example in June, July and August we will have access to free buggies. When September comes we enter the high season and understand the “off the street” price will increase to 80 euros which means there are substantial discounts to be had by playing with the Society.

As always new members and/or guests are always welcome, whether a full time resident, someone with your own holiday home for regular visits throughout the year or a holiday maker in the region. We would love to see you.
