GRAN ALACANT GOLF SOCIETY
It has been a cold start to 2019 and as mentioned in a previous article the early morning frosts have arrived! In a normal year we can have delays for up to one or one and a half hours perhaps on a couple of days. However, this year has seen most of our arranged golf days delayed – on one occasion by three hours !!!These have not deterred our hardy group but hopefully these will pass by soon and by the time you read this our arrangements will be back to normal.
The new rules have been implemented and we have to say without too much contraversy. Presently as a Society we are not following the “Out of Bounds” recommendation (it should be borne in mind that this is not a rule change as such but ,as said, it is a recommendation), preferring the historic method of playing a provisional ball.Otherwise all has gone smoothly.
As always new members and/or guests are always welcome, whether a full time resident, someone with your own holiday home for regular visits throughout the year or a holiday maker in the region. We would love to see you.
