No need to be a bowler – you are invited to try your luck at the above event and have some fun.
There will be six different challenges in each round. Help and advice will be available, as well as shoes and bowls.
It will be 2 euro per round or 3 rounds for 5 euro – no restrictions on the number of rounds you can play.
We would love to meet you so please come along any time between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
On November 15th we had our annual shopping trip to La Zenia. After shopping we met for pre lunch drinks before leaving for La Cosecha restaurant. As usual the food and service at La Cosecha was excellent, another successful day enjoyed by all. Thank you to the ladies on the social committee.
Monte Mar Bowls Club members had a very enjoyable horse race afternoon at Dunbars on the afternoon of 17th November. A very big thank you to Dave and Mandy and their team for a very good meal and service. Thanks to Kevin and Tony for providing the Racing, winners or not we all had a great afternoon. Thanks Dave for your donation to the club.
On November 27th the monthly chicken run was well attended by twenty four members. The chickens were won by Diane Horsington with thirty shots and Howie Williams with thirty three shots well done to you both. The eggs were won by Tanya Oliver and Jim Shearing. Thank you to Des and John Freeman who donated the chickens and Julia and Ian Hamilton who donated the eggs, with the help of their chickens. The football card was won by Lynne Armitage with Swindon.
This year the Gran Alacant Singers joined us at the Rincon Restaurant for our Xmas singalong. The sing along was well led by Diane and Cindy. We sang a number of carols when we sang the Twelve Days of Christmas each group had a day and the actions they had to do when it was their day, all good fun!! The Gran Alacant Singers sang a few carols, then we all enjoyed a buffet. It was a lovely afternoon.
This year’s pre Xmas lunch at Portico Mar was attended by fifty four bowlers and social members, a good time was had by all!! After a very enjoyable lunch, Chris and Sue did the Xmas raffle, thank you to all who took part. The hampers were won by Des Freeman, Ronnie Cairns and Diane Wilkinson well done to all.
