Hello everybody!

Just a few words to let you know what is happening in Santa Pola and its surroundings this month.
To start with, Santa Pola’s Town Hall offers its cultural programme for all tastes you can check all the programmes on our website: www.santapolaturismo.es

Apart from all this, on the 16th of July the fishermen celebrate their main fiestas, “Our Lady of Carmen” in the evening with a religious procession followed by a display of fire works on Levante Beach later on.

On the 8th of July the XXIII International Swimming Crossing Tabarca-Santa Pola will take place, it is a real adventure for 1600 swimmers!
This swim crossing has become the most popular in Spain; this year we have participants from 14 countries and of course from all over the Spain.

In the surrounding areas, you can enjoy plenty of parades of Moors and Christians – as you know it is not possible to give the exact dates but the approximate dates are as follows: Rojales, Orihuela 15th to 18th, Cox, Guardamar del Segura 20th to 25th, Albatera, Novelda 19th to 25th, Almoradi, Agost 20th to 30th.

Also in Denia you can join in to celebrate the peculiar fiesta of “Bous a la Mar” bulls to the sea from 7th to 15th. This fiesta is declared of international tourist interest. Furthermore, if you missed the spectacular Bonfires of St John you can visit San Vicente del Raspeig from19th to 22nd to get a taste of what it is like.

Finally, in Torrevieja from 22nd to 28th the International Contest of Habaneras & Polyphony is held. If you are fond of this type of music, this is your festival to visit! The first week in August, we’ve got parade of Moors and Christians in Aspe.
